A personal cause
In 2010, Lauren's dad, Sandy Halperin was diagnosed with Early On-Set Alzheimer's Disease. Having watched his own dad suffer from the same disease, he took his diagnosis as a (truly impressive) call to action to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and increase government funding.
